Second victory from the Blues

Chelsea confidently played to have their second victory against Reading. Goals from Frank Lampard and Didier Drogba inside five second-half minutes gave Chelsea a deserved 2-1 win over Reading and spared the blushes of goalkeeper Petr Cech.

Cech's failure to punch the ball clear on the half-hour allowed Royals substitute Andre Bikey to give the home side the lead with his first touch. However, Lampard had levelled to tight Reading with 1-1 and Drogba ensure the victory after scoring the second goal five minutes later.

Reading did play well for the first half by attacking the Chelsea's defend however, the combination of Tal Ben Haim, Glen Johnson, Farreira and Ashley Cole proved that it is not easy for Reading to score the line.

Chelsea currently on 3rd position with 6 points after Manchester City and Everton.

Daniel Alves is ours!

Jose Mourinho has confirmed that Brazillian's defender and midfielder will be played in Stamford Bridge soon. The deal has been made by the agent and still in progress. Jose claimed that to have Daniel Alves is a big hope for him and the team.

Alves' agent Geronimo Suarez revealed yesterday that he is '80-90% confident' a deal can be struck between the two clubs. Reports in Spain suggested the two clubs had reached agreement over a £24.5million switch to Stamford Bridge but the London club issued a statement denying this. The 24-year-old was left out of Sevilla's squad for their Champions League qualifier against AEK Athens last night, fuelling speculation his career with the UEFA Cup holders is about to come to an end.

Daniel also linked with Real Madrid but insisted that he more prefer to join Jose's squad

Chelsea did double

Michael Essien grabbed the player of the match as Chelsea defeated Birmingham to set an English record for unbeaten league matches at home for 64. Jose Mourinho's men were given a scare when Mikael Forsell score the first goal to put Birmingham in front however, Claudio Pizzaro found the net to get a draw and that was the first goal on his debut as well as Florent Malouda.

Mourinho's record is even more impressive. He has gone 99 home league games without a defeat, his last being a 3-2 reverse while at Porto at the hands of Beira Mar in 2002. The win over Portsmouth for the next match will record his personal record and hopefully stated that Portsmouth won't dissapoint him.

Chelsea currently get 3 points from the match and stand in 3rd position of the league and Manchester United dissapointed their fan after draw with Reading at Old Traford.

Jose declined the speculation
Chelsea’s manager Jose Mourinho declined the current speculation that he will get Daniel Alvies as the new player for the season in Stamford Bridge and declared that he won’t open Roman Abramovich pocket for irrelevant price. However, Jose confessed that Daniel is the best signing for Chelsea.

Seville has requested 30million pound for Daniel which Jose claimed that the price was irrelevant for this time. Chelsea already has Ashley Cole, Ricardo, Farreira, Tal Ben Haim, and Glen Johnson for defender and it is more than enough to strength the side. Jose also have signed Alex from PSV Eidhoven which can be played either defender and midfielder.
