Chelsea Football Club is confirmed the have completed the signing of Claudio Pizarro. The Peruvian international, formerly at Bayern Munich, completed his medical and agreed personal terms today. Pizzaro when he been asked for his chance to play at Stamford Bridge claimed that he wants to help Chelsea winning the title of Champion League,the most prestigous title that Chelsea never had in their cup's bank. He said he never had a chance to win that title while he played at Bayern and Chelsea is the best club to prove it.
The 28-year-old moved from South America to play in Germany in 1999, first at Werder Bremen for two seasons where he scored 28 goals in 76 appearances. His past six seasons have been spent at Bayern Munich where he three times won the league and cup double, in 2003, 2005 and 2006. Michael Ballack was a team-mate in all three seasons. Before that in 2001, the FIFA Intercontinental Cup was won. Pizarro leaves the Bavarian club at the end of his contract, having found the net 101 times in 254 appearances. |
